Remember! On October 27, the hands of the clock must be turned back one hour

Therefore, this year summer time will end on October 27 and pl. 04.00 (at night from Saturday to Sunday) the hands of the clock must be turned back one hour.

Since a common vision on new conditions regarding the change of time twice a year has not yet been reached at the level of the European Union, the previously approved procedure is currently still in effect. The transition to summer time and back in Latvia is determined by Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 1010 of October 26, 2010 "On the transition to summer time". The regulations mention that the transition to summer time in Latvia takes place in the following order: on the last Sunday of March at 03:00, clocks are turned one hour forward and, accordingly, on the last Sunday of October at 04:00 - back one hour.

Within the framework of the European Union, the transition to summer time is determined by Directive 2000/84/EC of the European Parliament and the Council of January 19, 2001 on the rules regarding summer time. The directive determines the beginning and end of summer time uniformly for all the member states of the European Union.
