It is known that electric cars on fire are very difficult to put out, but what will happen when the red rooster visits the electric truck? The recent crash in the USA suggests that the trouble will be many times greater then.
The driver was not hurt, but the truck's lithium-ion battery caught fire. The aftermath was devastating: I-80 was closed for 16 hours, firefighters needed 190,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire, reduce the heat and prevent re-ignition, and there was a risk that flames from the burning Semi would spread to the surrounding woods.
After experts deemed the remains of the charred Semi safe to move, they were moved to an open area where they were monitored for another 24 hours.
