A new cat breed conquers the Internet - "Bully Cats"

A new breed of bulldog cat is taking over the internet, but animal rights activists are calling for it to be banned.

Not long ago, photos of a new breed of cats began to appear on the Internet, which look extremely atypical and even strange.

It has already managed to cause quite a stir and great debate among netizens. He is called Bully Cat, bulldog cat or bully cat. At first glance, the animal looks like an ordinary representative of the sphinx breed.

But it's not that simple. Due to a special mutation, the breed acquired extremely unnatural body proportions, short crooked legs and excessively wrinkled skin. Activists and animal rights activists are raising the alarm and demanding a ban on the breeding of these cats. What confused them so much about the new, "designer" breed?

In the United Kingdom, a new breed of cats - bulldogs - has begun to gain popularity.

Bulldog cats are a breed that has a disproportionately strong body, short legs and heavily wrinkled skin. Animals also completely lack hair and whiskers, which are extremely important and are responsible for orientation in space. It is believed that these cats first appeared in the United States only a few years ago, but quickly became popular abroad, especially in the United Kingdom.

Bulldog cats are the result of a cross between a sphynx and a munchkin.

Cats have a whole army of fans on the Internet. Many liked the external brutality of the animals and the slight resemblance to the famous dog breed. In the United Kingdom, organizations have even begun to open, which are engaged in the breeding of these cats. But not everyone liked this decision!

For some reason, few people worry about the consequences of such a cross.

Animal defenders, activists and simple animal lovers began to raise the alarm. They demanded that the breeding of the breed be banned because its characteristics can cause serious health problems and suffering for the animal itself.

Animal rights activists believe the breed's growing popularity is a worrying sign.

A conscious "mutation" is a direct path to a lifetime of suffering. Lack of hair means sunburn. Obesity - mobility problems, joint pain. Wrinkled skin - chronic skin infections.

Experts are sure that the life span of such cats will be quite short.

As such, Dan O'Neill, associate professor of pet epidemiology at the Royal Veterinary College, points out that cats of this breed are likely to have the same shortened lifespan as Sphynx cats, which live an average of just 6.7 years.

But growers have a completely different opinion on this matter.

They claim that bulldog cats also have the right to life, and their "genetic mutations" do not overshadow their existence at all.

It is not known who will win this battle, but the fears of animal rights defenders and activists are probably well-founded.

Experimenting with genetics is always a bad idea. Activists are convinced that breeding such a breed is cruelty to animals. And the people who buy these cats are supporting the demand and are complicit in the crime.
