A man goes to a Japanese restaurant and gets angry that they serve chicken

This tweet went viral with 52 million views... A Twitter user shared an image of a Japanese restaurant's sign which clearly states that they do not offer vegetarian, vegan, halal or takeaway options and that all of their menu items include chicken and pork.

The user criticized it as "Another shameful example of Japanese companies not being welcoming to tourists".

This complaint seems absurd considering that the restaurant clearly specializes in meat dishes and has even taken the time to put up a sign in English, presumably for foreign visitors.

As one commenter aptly put it, "Going to a Japanese chicken restaurant > crazy if they only have chicken."

The backlash against the original tweet highlights the irony that every Japanese establishment will cater to all dietary preferences.

As another user put it: "If you don't like it, don't go abroad and don't be mad if they don't speak English either."

It's a restaurant after all, they don't have to offer every possible choice of food. Is a sign like this a reason to get irritated just because they dare say they don't have it?

There's simply no need to go to a restaurant like this if you want something vegan, but it looks like that's not an option.

It is hardly an option to try to convince the author that it is not worth complaining about this, because here we are dealing with unfounded confidence.
